Staff&Line Announces Integration With Centennial Discovery
St Albans, UK, 13th November 2006 - Staff&Line, a leading publisher of Pink Elephant certified ITIL(1) compatible software solutions, and Centennial Software, the developer of asset discovery solutions jointly announced today the integration of their EasyVista and Discovery applications. This new integration, developed by Staff&Line’s UK operation makes vital dynamically-updated asset information on all PCs across the organisation, automatically available to users in the EasyVista management suite.
David Silsby, managing director, Staff&Line UK comments: “For organisations that run multi-site, multi-platform networks, Centennial Discovery is the best solution for accurately finding and reporting on all IT assets on the network. By making this data available within EasyVista, we are both increasing the value we can offer to our existing customers as well as offering Centennial Discovery users an easy path to a fully-featured IT asset management solution.”
As a result of this integration, vital asset data such as hardware configuration, (processor, memory, hard disk etc.) physical location of PCs and software installations can now be automatically imported into the EasyVista CMDB with no manual effort from administrators. The integration was created entirely with existing tools within EasyVista and will now ship as a standard component of the EasyVista Asset Management solution.
Matt Fisher, vice president at Centennial Software, commented: “We know from research that having asset information available to service desk operatives can cut the time it takes to resolve support calls in half and reduce on-site engineer visits by up to 80 percent. But more than this, the integration between EasyVista and Centennial Discovery will have a positive impact on all areas of IT management, as users increase the effectiveness of their IT governance efforts through the knowledge that they know exactly what is on the network.”
As proof that Staff&Line UK is fully-committed to the integration, the British office is an accredited Centennial Software Platinum Partner and is authorised to sell both the Discovery and DeviceWall solutions. The new integration is available immediately and represents the first stage in a wider project to make the full breadth of Discovery’s asset data available in EasyVista.
